Tanabata /Star Festival Resources Tanabata (Star Festival) is a Japanese festival, held on the 7th July. It celebrates the meeting of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi. To support learning through history and cultural celebrations, we have made these Tanabata teaching resources for teachers to use when teaching about Tanabata to children in primary and elementary schools.
