Cherry Blossom Festival Teaching Resources

The National Cherry Blossom Festival is a spring celebration which commemorates the gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington, DC in 1912. It is a celebration to honour the lasting and growing friendship between the United States and Japan. To support learning through history and different cultures, we have made many teaching resources for educators to use when teaching about the Cherry Blossom Festival to children in primary and elementary schools. The Cherry Blossom themed flashcards, classroom banner and posters, which all display 'The 6 stages of bud development' have been given a time saving double mounted effect, which will also save on your school resources. The Cherry Blossom display lettering has been made available on a Word document, to enable you to re-size if required and cut & paste onto a second (new) Word document. Many of the resources below, have an editable version to enable you to convert the resource into your chosen font / language. These editable resources are great to use, especially if you teach a foreign language.
